Code of Conduct

How interest works on Vaidik Vivaha

Seven clear rules. They're built into the platform — not optional, not soft. We designed them so both sides feel respected: respond promptly, and never chase.

1. You can cancel an interest you’ve sent — anytime before it’s answered.

Changed your mind in the first hour? Pull it back. The other person never sees that the interest was ever there once you cancel.

After cancellation the pair is reset. You may re-encounter each other in WedEx later — no permanent close is recorded.

2. You can decline an accepted match — anytime.

Even after both sides have said yes, either of you can end the connection. We never trap people in a relationship that no longer feels right.

A decline at this stage is treated the same as any other decline (see rule 3).

3. Decline = forever. You will never see each other again.

Once you decline an interest — or once you’re declined — the pair is permanently closed. WedEx will never resurface that profile to either of you. No re-introductions.

This protects the recipient from being re-approached after saying no, and removes the temptation for the sender to keep trying.

4. Block = forever — and removed from your view too.

Block is the harder version of decline. The pair is permanently closed AND the relationship disappears from your inbox and queue. They will never see you again, and you will never see them.

Use block freely. The other person never receives a notification about it.

5. Reminders + 3-month window.

After sending interest you may send a polite reminder once a week (no sooner) and only within the first 3 months.

If 3 months pass without a response, the interest is automatically declined. The pair is then permanently closed — no further contact, ever.

This is the anti-ghosting + anti-chasing rule. Recipients cannot just disappear; senders cannot wait indefinitely.

6. Sign in at least once every 3 months — or your profile deactivates.

Three months without a single sign-in tells us you’ve probably found a partner, lost interest, or moved on. We’ll send you two warnings (one week before, then one day before) so you can come back if you’re still interested.

After three months of silence the account is deactivated: your profile disappears from WedEx, pending interests close out, and chats freeze. Other members’ time isn’t wasted on profiles that aren’t paying attention.

This isn’t permanent — logging back in reactivates you instantly. We’re weeding out casual browsers, not punishing real customers.

7. Maximum 3 active discussions at a time.

Once an interest is accepted, it becomes an “active discussion”. We cap each person at three of these at the same time. If you’re juggling more than three serious conversations, none of them are getting the attention they deserve.

When you’re at the cap, your profile shows an “Already in 3 discussions” chip so people who want to send interest know up front. You can still receive new interests — you just can’t accept a fourth one until you close an existing discussion (by declining, blocking, or being declined back).

No restriction on sending interests outward — you can have several pending. The cap only applies to mutual, accepted discussions.

Why these rules

  • Five contacts in three months means you can't spray, and the 3-month auto-decline means a stuck interest doesn't burn a slot forever.
  • Recipients can't ghost — silence past 3 months is recorded as a decline.
  • Senders can't chase — every decline is permanent, every reminder has a one-week cooldown.
  • Cancel-before-response gives an out for accidental sends, but doesn't expose the recipient to repeated approaches.

Important to remember

  • • Chat + audio + video unlock as soon as both sides accept interest. They don't cost you a contact slot.
  • • The 5-in-3-months quota is reserved for revealing phone, email, and photos via the contact unlock on a match.
  • • Server enforces these rules on every action — there's no way to bypass.
